  • All endotracheal (ET) tubes shown have a 3.0mm diameter and come in various sizes.
  • ET tubes, a type of tracheal tube, are typically inserted through the mouth (orotracheal) or nose (nasotracheal) to maintain a patent airway and facilitate oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange.
  • Tracheal tubes can deliver higher oxygen concentrations or administer gases like helium, nitrous oxide, or volatile anesthetic agents such as desflurane, isoflurane, or sevoflurane, and are used for airway management in general anesthesia, critical care, mechanical ventilation, and emergency medicine.
